Scheherazade Washington Parrish is a mother, facilitator, artist, and writer with a background in poetry.
As a writer, Scheherazade’s work ranges from personal narrative to formal verse, deconstructing societal, personal and political concepts of duty and family. Her work has been published in journals and as part of The Detroit Neighborhood Guidebook anthology, as well as murals, and large scale visual art works. As a muse, you will see her as principal subject in several paintings, murals and photography.
